The Ujima Legacy Endowment Fund is more than a financial resource—it is a commitment to our future. Rooted in the rich tradition of Black philanthropy, we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us, ensuring that Ujima Legacy Fund remains a pathway to opportunity for generations to come.

Our Collective Impact

Starting in 2023, we set and achieved an ambitious goal to raise over $600,000 by the end of 2025. Since launching our endowment, we have:

• Grown our fund to over $800,000 
• Ensured the long-term sustainability of our mission to empower youth through education
• Made lasting support for organizations that align with our values in perpetuity a possiblility

Why This Matters

This campaign was pivotal. Every dollar raised brings us closer to a future where Black men lead in philanthropy, education outcomes improve, and generational wealth is built within our communities. And thanks to the generosity of the Community Foundation of Greater Richmond, every contribution was matched dollar for dollar, up to $100,000!
